Bathroom decoration – we are actually talking about this! The bathroom has come a long way since the days of the outhouse – a small, Spartan, rudimentary shack that had just the bare necessities and nothing more. That was just a slight improvement over the age old concept of people heading over to the nearest woods or grassy areas to relieve themselves. But bathrooms soon became an integral part of the house and bathroom decoration soon followed as people wanted to make their bathrooms more comfortable and personalized. Many fittings, fixtures, and bathroom furnishings and accessories have evolved over the years to cater to bathroom decorating needs.
There are two scenarios where you can decorate your bathroom – one if you are building one as part of a new house construction, or you are simply redecorating an existing one. If you are building one, then bathroom decoration can be conceptualized at the macro level, as in you can decide the layout in a way that it is most ergonomic. Remember that decoration isn’t just about making it look pretty, at the end of the day it also has to be functional. Make sure you have adequate ventilation and the tiles should not be too slippery and make the best possible use of the available space.
Bathroom decoration in the case of an existing bathroom is a less elaborate affair but you have to be more creative here because the existing layout may not be the ideal one you always wanted and you will have to accept it the way it is, but with some clever accessorizing, you can make your bathroom appear really good. Get the colors right to begin with. Color coordination is a major part of bathroom decoration and make sure that any accessories and fittings you buy do not violate the color scheme. And the accessories need not necessarily be expensive ones. Even a set of good towels will match with the color scheme.
Probably the most important element in a bathroom’s decoration is what is called the bathroom vanity – an integral set containing a mirror, wash basin and cabinets. This is probable the first thing you will see in a bathroom decoration catalogue. Make sure you have a nice, clear big mirror with good lighting, a comfortably good basin and cabinets that will hold all that you need to hold. Keep it all elegant and understated and the look will work out fine.

I found your ideas to be straight forward and spot on. When I’ve got some time later I’ll write a more detailed comment with my own opinions on the topic, but for now..good job!
